Unlike regular ringtones, which are cut-down versions of pre-existing songs, Snacktunes(tm) are original short-form songs developed exclusively for the mobile generation. To put it simply, Popfolio works with artistes to create original 30-second music pieces (hence SNACKtunes) to be sold exclusively via mobile channels. By doing so, Popfolio enables artistes to create a new revenue stream for themselves, and consumers are provided value-added choices suited to their mobile lifestyles.
ABOUT ALTIMET:
Altimet works as a solo artist, producer, songwriter and composer and has worked with local artists from a variety of genres such as hip hop (Poetic Ammo, Too Phat, Soulid), ska (Gerhana Ska Cinta), drum 'n' bass (Spacebar), R&B (Ruffedge, V.E., Reshmonu) and pop (Kaer). He has contributed his songwriting and composing skills to two critically and commercially acclaimed albums, Ahli Fiqir's Hari Ini Dalam Sejarah, and Too Phat's multi platinum Plan B.
Altimet also was the co founder of Mixology DJ Academy, an institution dedicated to spreading the knowledge of mixing and turntablism to the masses, helmed by fellow TTC member DJ Fuzz. He also works as A&R manager for Powder Records, the independent record label that signed Ahli Fiqir. His production work on Ahli Fiqir's debut album earned him an award at the recent Anugerah Planet Muzik (APM), Singapore's equivalent to the AIM.
Altimet also runs his own publishing company, Purplenotez Publishing, and does DJ gigs as well on a regular basis.
ABOUT LINDA & DIANA RAFAR:
Linda Rafar made her debut in the entertainment industry as part of the sensational all-girl group "Elite". The elder of the Rafar sisters later ventured into acting when she was cast in TV drama series Dua Hati. Linda has recently added another accolade to her name with her newly opened café in Shah Alam named "Jom Lepak Café".
Diana Rafar who starred in the TV3 series Ezora was nominated 'Most Promising Actress' for the 2008 film Susuk at the 21st Malaysian Film Festival. Like her older sister, she is also an enterprising businesswoman. She manages her own spa, "Rahsia Cenderawasih", located in Shah Alam.
The sisters will be releasing a new single, Dia, via Popfolio at the end of 2008.
