Maral's Bio
Maral is a 24 years old singer, songwriter and bass player from Tehran/Iran.
She's the lead singer and co-composer of an electronic rock band named "The Plastic Wave".
She with her band showed their potential by getting invited to SXSW festival after working on their music only for 2 months. As pioneers in new wave of electronic/industrial music in Iran, with strong and unique sounds and lyrics they attracted attention in major media. Maral got interviewed by Guradian newspaper, Irish times, Songlines Magazine and udnercover online magazine.

She was featured in a documentary for Korea national TV channel and also a program done by couscous global in Netherlands.

Maral was arrested by Iranian police due to her performance in N! gathering in summer 2007 along with other artists (Font band, Dative band) that were performing on that night and spent couple of days in prison for playing rock music.
Playing western music and singing in English in Iran is illegal and underground musicians are taking risks for playing music.

Maral had couple of performances with international Kabul based band "White City" and attended "Metal Front" festival in Yerevan/Armenia with a heavy metal band, named "5grs" as guest vocalist.
She's now working on her solo project to purchase her dreams in big world of music.
