A Band Once Facts.
A Band Once comprises of Faizul, Fadhil, Izzat, Khai, Adi and Syafiq.
The band started as a three-piece, with Fadhil on drums, Izzat on guitar and Syafiq with vocals and bass. Story cut short, we met with three, very inspiring music enthusiasts on different occasions, thus the six of us have been attempting to create musical fusion ever since.
The song that we recorded professionally for the first time is Te'a, as some of you may have heard on the local airwaves or as someone's ringtone, or even blasted through a car soundsystem. Public response has been 'wooooah, very overwhelming and totally unexpected! :D
Facts about Kembalilah - Its still in the KristalFM chart top 20 until today eversince its first airplay.
ABO (A Band Once) won Artist of the Year 2008 for PelangiFM.
Kembalilah song was and still in Pelangi's FM "carta kitani" for 20th week!
Te'a song manage to survive for 14 weeks in PelangiFM!
ABO was invited and perform one stage with famous Indonesian band,D'masiv on February 2009 in Empire Theater.
ABO has been performing for Pelangi Roadshows,Charity events and even Private Functions as well.
Almost a year now since we started recording Te'a, and we're going to start recording a new song, composed by non-other than Padil and lyrics by Faizul. We are still contemplating as to whether we are going to simply release the song on local airwaves, or we could record all the songs that we have first and upon accumulation target reached, we'll release an album, as many of you have requested.
We've been nominated for 3 catagories for Best Duo/Group vocal , Best Choosen Newcomer and Best Choosen Song for upcoming Anugerah Pelangi 2009.
